Through my artwork, which is primarily object-driven, I am exploring the idea of growth through forms associated with the natural world by using industrial materials, primarily cast metals. Casting is wonderful for me because I am able to manipulate cold, hard metals into something much more fluid and natural, which is one of many juxtapositions I enjoy in my work. I endeavor to create combinations of shapes and forms that, while they are organic in nature, would never truly exist. It is this bit of strangeness that I try to capture in my work by taking the fundamental shapes of nature and displaying them in a unique way.
