Sometimes a piece of artwork needs to simmer for a while before it can be finished, and Reclamation was one such piece. I created the central element first, but was unsure how to finish the piece. After creating the patina on the surface, I noted how much like weathered wood the aluminum looked and decided that the addition of the growing branches would compliment the form.
